MUSIC AND SOCIETIES

I began in the early 90s to observe societies through the prism of their musical practices. Music is present in all cultures: from ploughing songs to satirical songs to festive music, it participates intimately in the life of society, of which it willingly acts as a commentator and spokesperson. And when society changes, music and its uses evolve, to the point of being a good indicator of the changes taking place. 

As part of the Altamira project, I have produced a series of discographic publications that present different facets of this long-term research.
